I will present you a famous painting by Banksy . 

On the right of the tag, there is a robot with a can of spray paint, which is painting a barcode. The tag is black and grey, there are not colors, it’s sad.           I think Banksy used a can of spray paint to draw his robot on the wall, like the robot to draw his barcode.  

According to me, it’s funny and he might denounce the technology which is too invasive. It’s not silly. Maybe it’s a critique of society and its standardization. 

I’m impressed by the tag, it’s very interesting because in all these tags, he wants to send a message or send something. I loved it.

This is a tag. It was painted by Banksy in Stillwell and Neptune Avenue and it was painted the October 28th in New York.
Banksy painted this tag with his spray.  

In the middle, I can see a robot who painted with his spay a barcode and a little more up, there is a false pigeon who flying maybe he flees because he is afraid. In down there are a lot of true pigeons, they are not part in the tag. At the right, there is a true door but this door is close. The wall is beige, the robot and the pigeon are black and white and the barcode is black. There are holes in the wall. 

I’m not satisfied of this tag because there are holes in the wall and it’s ugly. The robot is funny but I don’t like the colors, it’s colorless and dull. I’ve choose this tag because I like robots.

The graffiti is in Stoke Croft in Bristol in England; his name is The Mild Mild West and it’s painted by Banksy in 1999. 

The graffiti represents three riot policemen approaching a big teddy bear holding a Molotov cocktail in the hand, the riot policemen advance behind protective by shield. In the top, we can see the name of the work and at the bottom we can see the name of the street artist. 

I think it’s about the violence of the city of Bristol where at the time the district is disadvantaged and a specific trigger for the mural was such an event at winter stokes Road, where riot police began to attack partygoers.  

I like this work because the graffiti is funny; a teddy bear is normally harmless and soft. 

Banksy has made a piece of art work on a wall. It was made with a stencil. 

At the bottom, I can see a little girl under a sentence saying  «No future» written in red. She’s holding the « O » of « NO » like a balloon because the little girl holding a wire connected to a balloon. She looks alone and lost. It’ s an artists’ expression. But normally, the children holding a balloon is happy and not sad. 

I think this image is against the poverty and shows that there are people without a future.  

This art work is not bad but I think it’s so sad  because this little girl has no future because she doesn’t have the money to go to school. I choose this piece because I think it’s really sad so this allows children to enjoy the school and to work well.

Présentation street art

  Nous avons assisté à l’intervention du personne travaillant à la galerie d’art itinérance (une association) situé à BNF . Dans cette galerie, ils exposent des œuvres d’artistes et de street artistes mondialement célèbre le tout en essayant de vendre certaines œuvres. Le fait d’exposé des œuvres de street art est un fait nouveau mais cela permet de promouvoir cet art dans le quartier (nombreuses œuvres dans le 13eme en particulier boulevard Vincent Auriol). Dans le 13ème, il y a une grande diversité d’œuvre de street art. Ceci est due au fait que de nombreuses galeries essaye d’attirer des street artistes venus du monde entier afin qu’ils puissent peindre dans Paris. Par exemple, lors du déplacement d’artistes dans le 13eme, ce sont des associations qui leur payent les frais, elles sont également financées par certains grands groupes (banques, Leroy merlin, RATP,…). Certains frais sont chères comme par exemple la grande quantité de peinture utilisée ou encore le besoin parfois de nacelle volante ou télescopique afin de peindre en hauteur. Si les artistes ne sont pas payés, ils reçoivent malgré tout un financement équivalent à environ 2000€ qui sont financés par la mairie du 13eme arrondissement. Dans l’exemple de street artistes célèbres venus travailler dans le 13eme arrondissement on pourrait citer Obey, un artiste américain qui est venu faire du street art en France en 2008 (il est venu accompagner de 4 assistants pour peindre les œuvres). Il a fait 3 œuvres dans le 13eme arrondissement de Paris, dont une sur un HLM. Cependant après cela, la fresque va devoir disparaître suite à un ravalement du mur mais les habitants si étaient tellement attaché qui ont signé une pétition afin de conserver cette fresque. L’art d’Obey contient généralement un message, souvent sociaux ou politiques. Il a réalisé une frise sous la Tour Eiffel au cours de la Cop 21 et ce afin de montrer qu’en tant qu’artistes il pouvait se préoccuper des questions d’environnements, il a exercé son droit en tant qu’artiste. Il a également crée une marque de vêtements car si tout le monde n’a pas les moyens de s’acheter une œuvre de street art, on peut tous s’acheter un T-shirt à 15/20€ ainsi peu importe les revenus chacun pouvait profiter de son art. Faire une œuvre comme la fresque du 13eme prend entre 1 et 2 semaines et il y a des risques comme par exemple la pluie lorsqu’on utilise de la peinture à l’huile. Enfin pour parler brièvement de l’attractivité, c’est le rôle des galeries et de ceux qui y travaillent de faire venir des artistes, tous ne sont pas intéressés et c’est alors aux galeries de mettre en avant les avantages à venir à Paris par exemple. Pour travailler dans une galeries il y a de nombreux profils, mais ils ont tous un point commun: passion commune pour le street art.
