Le 20 mars 2017 lors de ma rencontre avec le maire du 13^e  j’ai appris qu’une , nouvelle œuvre allait être réalisée, on peut désormais la voir finie et elle se situe dans le 13^e arrondissement de Paris Boulevard-Vincent Auriol. J’ai également appris qu’il ne paye aucun artiste du moins pour la prestation (il leurs paye le matériel) .Le maire pense qu’il est possible pour tout le monde de faire du street art  en allant dans des endroits spécialisés pour ça, atelier. Nous lui avons posé la question que représente le street art pour lui et il nous a répondu : « il s’agit d’un mouvement pictural du 21eme siècle ». Le maire a décidé de ne pas travailler avec le même artiste plusieurs fois sauf Obey qui a fait trois œuvres et aussi C215 qui en a fait plusieurs aussi. Il a décidé de mettre beaucoup d’œuvres Boulevard Vincent Auriol car il y a le métro aérien qui passe par la et donc on peut avoir un aperçu des œuvres. Selon lui le street art est bénéfique culturellement.

The picture we can see is a picture of street art , the artist who drew it in 2006 is Banksy . The title of the picture is « seen »  

On the left and one the right we can see policemen who try to catch the graffiti . The clothes of the policemen are black and the letters of the graffiti are yellow . We think the black  color is dark and worrying whereas the yellow looks  more friendly .                                                  

We think the graffiti represents policemen who try to stop street art but we can also see the graffiti envelops the policeman . So we think the picture represent the fight between the street art and justice  

Emilie’s  feeling(s) : «  I like it , I find the picture the picture of this graffiti is beautiful because street art fights of its liberty » Benjamin,Sophie and yisheng quite like the picture because they didn’t really like the style of street art  .   

Durant notre heure avec Monsieur le Maire du 13éme arrondissement, nous avons appris beaucoup de choses : 

-Il prévoit de faire du 13^ème un arrondissement dédié au Street Art, car il aime beaucoup ça, il trouve que ça attire les touristes, ça ne se démode pas… 

-Il s’agit de son idée, mais, si les habitants décident d’élire un autre Maire personne ne sait ce qu’il fera par rapport au Street Art. 

-Il y a une nouvelle œuvre, Boulevard Vincent Auriol, il essaie de toutes les regrouper au même endroit. 

-Le coût pour faire venir un artiste est entre 0 et 2000 euros. Il nous a dit qu’il ne payait pas les artistes, mais le monsieur de la galerie nous a expliqué qu’il payait les artistes 2000 euros. Mais le plus cher était le matériel ( nacelle si c’est un immeuble, la peinture…).

This work of art was made by Banksy but we don’t know where and when. The title is Stop Wars. This is a painting. Maybe he used stencil to make the stormtrooper. And to write the word « STAR WARS ». In his hand he has a brush and paint pot, in which there is red paint. On the letters « AR » of the word « STAR » he writes the letters « OP » to create the sentences « STOP WARS ». Maybe the red paint represents the blood of the wars. His message is clearly to tell people to stop the wars. He decides to represent a stormtrooper writing because they are soldiers. The main colors of the paint are black and white and yet that we see the most is the red. It’s a great message to all people and it’s a good ideas to represent this.

There is a stormtrooper who changed the name « Star Wars » to « Stop Wars » in red. The  

stormtrooper is carrying a bucket and a brush. He is trying to convey a message to stop war in the  

world because too many die because of wars.There are only three colours : the red , the black and     

 the white.  The red mean the blood of every people who died , the black , the dark side and the     

 sadness of the war and the white mean hope , peace and truth.  

To conclude this work of art is a message to the world to stop war because it hurts people when they   

 lose someone of their family or friends.  

For Jimmy the stormtrooper lost someone he loved and wants to stop the war. 

For Enzo this work of art is simple because Banksy has just remplaced the A and the R of Star by A O  

 and A P to make Stop.  

For Teo it’s sad because it represent death and blood , it could be exposed in a museum because it    

hangs on a wall. 

 For Victor , it’s a very simple but amazing work of art because a little change can  modify everything .
